1. Study the given Venn-diagram and answer the following questions.

(a) उपयुक्त उपसमूहलाई परिभाषित गर्नुहोस् । ( Define proper subset. )
(b) समूह L को अनुपयुक्त उपसमूह लेख्नुहोस् । ( Write the improper subset of L. )
(c) यदि समूह M का सदस्यहरू e,i,o,u मात्र भएको भए L र M कस्ता समूह हुन्छन्, कारणसहित लेख्नुहोस् । (If e, i, o, u are the members of set M only then what type of set are L and M, write with reason. )

Solution:

(a) If a subset is formed by taking some emements from the given set then the subset is called proper subset.

(b) Improper subset of L = { a, b, c}

(c) If e, i, o, u are the members of set M only then set are L and M are disjoint sets because they do not have any common element

2. रामदेव प्रेसर कुकर किन्न भाँडा पसलमा गएछन् । भाँडा पसलमा प्रेसर कुकरको अङ्कित मूल्य रु. 3900 तोकिएको छ । Ramdev went to the utensil shop to buy a presser cooker. The marked price of a presser cooker is Rs. 3900.

(a) अङ्कित मूल्यलाई MP र छुट रकमलाई D ले जनाउने हो भने छुट प्रतिशत पत्ता लगाउने सूत्र लेख्नुहोस् । If marked price and discount are represented by MP and D respectively, write the formula to find the discount percent.
(b) रामदेवले प्रेसर कुकरमा 7% छुट पाएछन् भने कति रकम छुट पाएछन् ? How much discount did Ramdev get while buying a pressure cooker on discount of 7%?
(c) 7% छुटमा बेच्दा पनि पसलेलाई 17% नाफा भएछ । अब पसलेको प्रेसर कुकरको क्रय मूल्य कति रहेछ ? The shopkeeper got 17% profit after selling them at 7% discount. What was the cost price of the pressure cooker ?
